I had been diagnosed with Lymphoma in the spring of 2021, and was retraining to work in a different field. I was a graphic Artist and salesman before working as a pipelayer, so with the new fangled interweb going on I decided to have a stab at it. I went to see one of my old High School teachers and many things changed on that day.
John Carlson built a house to house his massive passion of everything automotive. On my way home from his house I called the internet provider I had been using for the websites of PW Trenchless Construction and the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy. While driving with the phone to my ear I was able to buy the url www.carnut.ca on November 29 2001
Meeting John that day al so propelled me in so many ways to meet and photograph so many types of cars and meet so many types of Carnuts! John, as president of the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada got me my first press pass for the Pebble Beach Concours d Elegance. Patrick Stewart was able to get me a press pass for Laguna Seca for his Western Driver magazine. I will be forever grateful to both of these guys for doing this for me! Too bad my New Canon Camera had a sensor screw up and all my photos have a unflattering colour cast to them.
