I have been looking forward to going to this show all year. I have never been able to spend the day there and never registered my old truck previously. If you enter, the very talented staff at Duecks, snap a photo of your vehicle as you enter and give you an amazing print of your car with a special background.

I was lucky to get to the show just as they were allowing the cars to go through the giant Dunlop Tire. They had a photographer taking front 3/4 shots so I went and shot video of them coming straight through  and then off to the sides.
 

This is one of the best car shows to go see because you have lots of time to spend looking at each car and actually taking arty shots of the cars. A tru Legend in the car building word was Kirk Collins and a roadster that he started before he passed away was finished by Shaun Reitz and he showed it for the first time at the BBQ.

After shooting the cars at the Stay Gold car show in Langley I offered a ride to Kelly from KWG Videos and he jumped at the chance to ride shotgun. We got there pretty late but we got to see 90% of the cars before they left. Unfortunately, it seemed my camera was acting up with the wifi controls of my phone so a bunch of shots were out of focus.

I left my home in Cloverdale to a beautiful sunny morning to arrive in Mission to the end of the earth cataclysmic rain storm. I toughed it out and not having an umbrella did dampen my spirits a bit. The rain soon subsided but the amount of cars that usually roll in before 10am when I leave to go to another show was way down.

I have been attending this show for 20 years and is sort of the reason I do my car show listing. We rolled up on Father’s Day in 2022 and voila, the show had been held on the Saturday. I did not know of the Harrison list and thought to myself, families need to know where these shows are so they can take the kids along. 

I rolled into the show pretty early in my old 1966 Chevy Pickup and got a primo spot.  I wandered around and snapped some shots and noticed no police presence. Until I left….there were people in regular daily drivers pulled over all over the place. I guess when nobody is doing burnouts, people get speeding tickets!!!

I have been going to the Pontiac show since the early 2000’s when it was at the Willowbrook mall. Then South Surrey at Softball city, KMS tools in Langley. I am sad to say I really messed up, because I do not remember getting the update saying the show was moving from KMS Tools in Langley to the Casino in Cloverdale. 

We ventured out to Abby for the first Bubba’s Caffeine n Gas-O-Lean on May 17, 2023. We had a beautiful night for a drive and I got to see a bunch of people I had not seen yet this year. I highly recommend heading out to the show the next time you can!

My sister in law Jacquie came up with the idea of a car show to raise money for the school auto shop. My Brother and I were each Mr McElgunn’s favourite student, depending on which one of us you ask. It turns out my nephew really was the favourite.

I went down a little late and there was still a great selection of cars.

I was heading to my meeting of the Vintage Car Club of Canada Vancouver Chapter meeting and I stopped by to see some great cars at the Tim Hortons on United Blvd in Coquitlam.

The weatehr around Christmas was terrible and the traditional Boxing Day run had to be delayed until April 1 2023
